2020 Antitrust in the Financial Sector: Hot Issues & Global Perspectives

2020年9月9日 - 2020年9月22日

Financial markets are the lifeblood of the real economy, giving businesses and consumers access to financial products. The better and more competitively they function, the better the economy will perform.

In recent years, two interesting developments in the financial sector have given rise to new and interesting antitrust issues: the first, an increased availability and use of technology that has opened the door for new and new types of non-bank companies to offer financial services products, which has concomitantly redefined competition among banks and non-banks; and the second, the increasing importance of financial sector platforms, which often depend on the aggregation and use of data, to facilitate financial transactions. This three-panel event will analyze and discuss these developments with antitrust enforcers, lawyers, in-house counsel, and economists.

This is the fourth edition of this joint conference co-organized by Concurrences and Morgan Lewis, in partnership with the sponsors. Due to the current health situation, the Antitrust in the Financial Sector Conference will be held via a series of three webinars from September 9 to September 22.
