Chair-Elect Jami Wintz McKeon to Present Visionary Award to Walmart

CHICAGO, September 16, 2014: Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP chair-elect Jami Wintz McKeon will chair the 41st annual Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA) benefit, “See Things in a Different Light,” on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Having served the community since 1972, CGLA will celebrate its efforts as well as those of its supporters to provide criminal and civil legal services, along with social work support, to city residents facing barriers resulting from an encounter with the criminal justice system.

During the reception, Ms. McKeon will present the Bill Leslie Visionary Award to Walmart for its policies on hiring employees with criminal records.

A signatory of the Pro Bono Institute’s Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge, Morgan Lewis has built an extraordinarily diverse and innovative Pro Bono practice, performing more than 71,000 hours of pro bono representations in 2013.
