2015年12月8日

NEW YORK, December 8, 2015: Morgan Lewis and Firm Chair Jami McKeon have been recognized by the Financial Times for their innovative, far-reaching and influential solutions to the most significant challenges facing clients in the publication’s exclusive Innovative Lawyers (North America) 2015 report.

In the report’s competitive Legal Expertise category, the firm is “highly commended” for its representation of Fortune 500 energy services company Sempra Energy and its affiliate Cameron LNG in the financing of a $10bn liquefaction plant last October. Firms are recognized in this selective portion of the report for developing creative solutions to the most complex issues that affect both their clients’ industries and the practice of law.

The Financial Times also honored Ms. McKeon with a Special Achievement Award in recognition of her innovative approach to strategic growth. The report recognizes Ms. McKeon for leading in her first year as the firm’s Chair one of the largest lateral moves in the history of the legal profession through Morgan Lewis’s combination with Bingham McCutchen, as well as the firm’s groundbreaking combination with Singapore’s leading law firm, Stamford Law (now Morgan Lewis Stamford), which created the first fully integrated firm in the key Asia-Pacific business hub.

The FT’s Special Achievement Award (North America) has been given only once previously. Ms. McKeon provided the keynote address at The North America Innovative Lawyers Awards ceremony at the New York Public Library Monday evening, during which she commented that innovation is critical to success in the legal profession and is grounded in a culture of trust and collaboration. The event was attended by leaders from the industry’s leading law firms and GCs from many of the country’s leading companies.

The annual Innovative Lawyers (North America) report was developed by the FT in partnership with RSG Consulting. Firms are selected for recognition following extensive independent research and the gathering of direct client feedback.
