HOUSTON, January 23, 2017: Morgan Lewis today welcomes Michelle Pector as a litigation partner in the Houston office, where she will help expand the firm’s services to energy clients, as well as companies in the healthcare and technology sectors.

Ms. Pector is a highly recognized trial lawyer who joins one of the top energy practices in Houston. She has worked extensively with clients in the energy industry in Texas and elsewhere in the United States. She has an especially deep background within the oilfield services segment, and she has represented energy clients in high-stakes business and contract disputes, consumer class actions, and theft of trade secrets.

“Michelle is an outstanding addition to our litigation team, especially as our energy, healthcare, and technology clients anticipate potentially significant developments in their industries,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “She has the tactical and strategic skills to provide crucial support to help them achieve their legal and business objectives.”

Ms. Pector’s representations include obtaining highly favorable outcomes for companies engaged in medical device manufacturing, healthcare, and technology. Her work also has involved significant arbitrations.

“Michelle will enhance our commercial litigation capabilities, not only in Houston but throughout the United States,” said J. Gordon Cooney, Jr., leader of Morgan Lewis’s litigation practice. “Her track record of success representing clients, particularly in the energy industry, complements our powerful global litigation team.”
