PHILADELPHIA, November 10, 2017: Morgan Lewis Firm Chair Jami McKeon has been named one of Philadelphia’s most iconic business leaders by The Philadelphia Inquirer and was inducted into its Business Hall of Fame during the publication’s second annual Industry Icon Awards on November 9.
Under Ms. McKeon’s leadership, Morgan Lewis has grown into one of the principal global providers of legal services, assisting clients throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Since the beginning of her tenure in 2014, Ms. McKeon has led the firm through a number of combinations and acquisitions, including adding 550 lawyers from Bingham McCutchen, merging with Stamford Law in Singapore, and expanding the firm into Shanghai and Hong Kong*. Morgan Lewis is now ranked among the top 20 global legal brands, and it is the largest law firm in the world led by a woman.

As part of Ms. McKeon’s practice she counsels Fortune 100 companies—particularly those in the financial services and technology industries—on complex litigation and investigations involving business disputes, fraud allegations, and class- and mass-action lawsuits.
Ms. McKeon has put exceptional client service at the center of her work and her administration of the firm. She is a long-time advocate of diversity within the legal industry and has championed pro bono work, leading the firm to historic highs in the number of lawyers meeting a challenge to bill at least 20 hours of pro bono per year. She is active in various community service organizations, including the United Way, and she sits on the Board of Directors for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Ms. McKeon is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession. Among her numerous accolades, she has received the American Red Cross’s Lifetime Achievement Award, United Way’s Women’s Leadership Initiative Award, and a Special Achievement Award from the Financial Times.
Ms. McKeon is among five honorees who were selected by the executives of The Philadelphia Inquirer for inclusion in the Business Hall of Fame based on their distinguished records of civic engagement and professional achievement within their industries.
