Jennifer Breen Elected as a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel

WASHINGTON, DC, March 27, 2018: Jennifer Breen, a partner in the Tax practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, has been elected as a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.

The American College of Tax Counsel regards the fellows as an extraordinary group of America’s very best tax attorneys. Membership is reserved for those leaders who have made an exceptional contribution to their chosen profession. Fellows must be nominated for membership and then undergo a rigorous screening process prior to being elected as fellows of the college.

Ms. Breen concentrates her practice on tax controversy and planning matters, with an emphasis on audits and controversies and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) administrative proceedings. She routinely handles matters involving US federal income tax, foreign tax, state and local corporate and business tax, and sales and use tax. Ms. Breen also has experience representing major corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals in resolving domestic and international compliance and controversy issues before the IRS. She currently serves as chair of the Administrative Practice Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation, as director and treasurer of the Washington DC Center for Public Interest Tax Law, and as a member of the J. Edgar Murdock Inn of Court. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Breen served as director of tax controversy at Mattel, Inc. and at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, as well as a lawyer with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Washington, DC, where she represented the IRS before the US Tax Court.
