NEW YORK, November 2, 2020: Linda Cenedella, a seasoned lawyer with more than 20 years of experience both as in-house counsel and in private practice, has joined Morgan Lewis as a partner resident in New York. Linda, who focuses on antitrust and competition law in the banking and financial services space, arrives from JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she served as executive director and assistant general counsel in the litigation and corporate & regulatory law departments.

“Linda’s extensive experience as in-house counsel to one of the key players in the financial services industry will significantly benefit our global financial institution clients seeking advice on emerging antitrust and competition issues,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Her insights into the legal and regulatory challenges and nuances of their implications facing the financial sector will be invaluable to our clients.”

At JPMorgan Chase, Linda managed and coordinated complex commercial and antitrust class action litigation in addition to regular inquiries from domestic and foreign competition regulators. Before joining JPMorgan Chase, she was a member of the antitrust practice at another global law firm, where she represented and advised Fortune 100 corporations on diverse transactional and litigation antitrust matters.

“Linda’s demonstrated ability to navigate complex competition issues in the financial services sector will enhance our already highly regarded antitrust practice in the sector, in which we represent leading companies in private enforcement and investigatory matters in jurisdictions around the world,” said Steve Reed, leader of Morgan Lewis’s global antitrust and competition practice.

Earlier this year, Morgan Lewis welcomed two partners in New York: Daniel Tehrani, a former assistant US attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Robin Nunn, a litigator and former in-house counsel whose practice focuses on fintech and is also resident in Washington, DC. Like Linda, Daniel and Robin, both white collar litigation partners, have considerable experience advising a number of financial services industry clients.

Linda also maintains an award-winning pro bono practice through which she advocates largely on behalf of children. She has been honored by the Legal Aid Society in recognition of her efforts to protect them.
