SINGAPORE, September 29, 2022: Morgan Lewis Stamford has been named among advisers on the “Impact Deal of the Year” as recognized by the Asialaw Awards 2022. The award recognizes the firm’s work on various issues arising from the high-profile collapse of Hin Leong Trading, one of Asia’s largest fuel traders and bunker suppliers, and its shipping arm, Ocean Tankers (Pte.) Ltd., which operates a fleet of floating storage units and tankers, as well as that of its ship-owning arm, the Xihe Holdings and Xihe Capital group of companies. Director Wendy Tan and associate Kelley Wong continue to advise PetroChina in ongoing proceedings relating to the case.
The awards celebrate law firms across 23 jurisdictions, 11 practice categories, and seven industry categories in the Asia-Pacific region. The results were announced at a ceremony on September 28.
