Partner Harry Johnson was quoted in a Sportico article discussing recent developments in the ongoing debate about whether college athletes should be considered employees and therefore have an opportunity to unionize. In the article, Harry spoke about the potential ramifications of a recent prosecution decision from a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) regional director.
“[Colleges] will likely want to plan ahead strategically for either litigation outcome: Athletes are NLRA employees or they aren’t,” Harry said.
