NEW YORK, May 16, 2023: For the eighth year, Morgan Lewis and Firm Chair Jami McKeon have been selected to host an international emerging woman leader through the Fortune–US Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership. The program, a public-private partnership among Fortune, the US Department of State, and Vital Voices Global Partnership, pairs participants with one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women to gain critical business and leadership skills with an aim to create more economic opportunity and equity for women worldwide. Marwa Elkhattabi, a fellow at Mansoura University Student Hospital in Egypt and the founder and director of the hospital’s strabismus and amblyopia clinic in the ophthalmology department, will be with Morgan Lewis for 10 days to gain firsthand experience in the firm’s entrepreneurial operations and business tactics from firm leaders and professionals.

“Meaningful mentorships are essential to creating equal opportunity, and I take great pride in sharing knowledge with and learning from talented women like Marwa who are building a bright future for themselves and making an impact in their communities,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “We are honored to continue to take part in this vital program and do what we can to help women thrive around the globe.”

She earned her bachelor of medicine and surgery and her master and medical doctorate degrees in ophthalmology from Mansoura University, and did her residency at the hospital.
