Even as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finalized its long-awaited guidance on mobile medical applications (or apps), wearable medical technology has emerged as a growing trend, presenting a new challenge for both the regulated industry and regulators.
While this trend initially focused on wearables to monitor fitness, there already has been a natural progression towards development of techno logy that captures other physiologic information.
