Morgan Lewis Partner Joanne Soslow Receives “Women of Distinction” Award

PHILADELPHIA, October 13, 2014: The Philadelphia Business Journal has honored Joanne Soslow—a partner in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice and co-leader of its Securities Industry Practice—with a Women of Distinction award for her commitment to personal, professional, and community success. She is one of 31 dynamic women in the Philadelphia region recognized by the publication this month for her personal and professional accomplishments.

Ms. Soslow, who focuses on corporate and securities matters, is a longtime leader at Morgan Lewis, serving as a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and a former member of the firm's Advisory Board. In addition to her practice, she devotes significant time to supporting women internally at the firm and in the community and serves on the board of directors of Women’s Way, which works to positively impact the lives of more than 200,000 women and their families.

In her practice, Ms. Soslow is dedicated to working with public companies and emerging growth businesses primarily in the biotechnology, financial services, technology, medical device, and specialty pharmaceutical sectors. Her transactional practice is focused on complex public and private equity and debt securities, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions transactions. She also regularly advises clients in all aspects of their growth cycle, from business plan development and startup structuring to exit strategies, including IPOs and change in control transactions.

Award winners will be featured in a special section of The Philadelphia Business Journal’s November 21 weekly edition. Recipients will be recognized at a November 18 ceremony in Philadelphia.
