Morgan Lewis Partner Elected to American College of Real Estate Lawyers

WASHINGTON, DC, April 15, 2015: Morgan Lewis partner J. Michael Pickett has been elected to the 2015 Class of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. Admission to the prestigious College is extended only by invitation, based on considerable peer review, to lawyers who are viewed as distinguished real estate practitioners.

Mr. Pickett counsels clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including single-asset and portfolio sales and acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures, financings for borrowers and lenders as well as real estate debt restructurings. His clients include real estate developers, investors and operators, banks and other financial institutions, and pension and other fund advisers. Founded in 1978, the College currently comprises nearly 950 Fellows across the country who are recognized for their legal skills and professional leadership in the commercial real estate field. Fellows must actively practice real estate law and observe high standards of professional and ethical conduct, in addition to having contributed substantially to the improvement of real estate law. Lawyers must also have a minimum of 10 years experience to be considered for membership in the premier legal association.
