Ms. Speights and Ms. Baird are contenders for the individual practice area awards in the “Best in Labor and Employment” and “Best in Financial Regulation” categories, respectively.
Nominees for this fourth annual award were chosen based on their professional accomplishments, leadership creativity, and impact on the profession. Ms. Speights, who is engaged in bar association activities and takes on multiple management roles for Morgan Lewis, regularly receives recognition for representing clients in employment discrimination claims—particularly class claims—and claims of discrimination in public accommodations, and was inducted as a fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers last fall. Ms. Baird, recognized by Chambers USA as a leading securities regulation practitioner, focuses her work on securities enforcement defense, internal investigations, and regulatory counseling.
