CHICAGO, 7 October 2015: Chicago labor and employment partner Ross Friedman was recently named one of Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s 40 under 40 for 2015. This annual survey seeks to recognize and honor those who Illinois attorneys believe are the “up and comers” of law in Illinois.

Mr. Friedman’s fellow attorneys recognize him as a leader in the field of labor and employment law. Several clients nominated Mr. Friedman for the honor, attesting to his capacity to quickly assess complex situations and offer counsel on complicated labor issues, his negotiating skills, and his ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients.

Mr. Friedman focuses on management-union relations, collective bargaining, and contract disputes involving grievance arbitration.  He is also a co-chair of Morgan Lewis’s Workforce Change Practice, which manages employment, labor, and benefits issues that arise from mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, startups, spinoffs, workforce reductions, shutdowns, outsourcing, offshoring, and other types of business restructuring.  Mr. Friedman is also an experienced litigator, advising employers on a wide range of discrimination, retaliation, and benefits-related claims.

The news of his recognition was published in a special supplement of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin on October 7.
