Morgan Lewis Adds Highly Ranked Labor and Employment Partner in Dallas and Houston

DALLAS and HOUSTON, April 27, 2016: Morgan Lewis has significantly deepened its award-winning labor and employment team in Texas with the addition of highly ranked partner Ethel J. Johnson, who will be resident in the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices. Ms. Johnson joins Morgan Lewis from the employment litigation practice of another global law firm.

She joins a team ranked in Band 1 by Chambers USA for Texas Labor & Employment and honored by Texas Lawyer magazine as Texas Labor and Employment Litigation Department of the Year.

Ms. Johnson’s practice focuses on all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination and retaliation cases, wage and hour class and collective actions, complex employment litigation, employee benefits litigation, noncompetition/nondisclosure matters, and labor arbitrations. She also counsels clients on human resource issues such as discipline and discharge, wage and hour, workplace privacy, internal investigations, employee handbooks/manuals, noncompetition and nondisclosure agreements, medical leave policies and practices, drug and alcohol abuse strategies, and workplace training. She represents clients in a variety of industries, including energy, banking and financial services, software and telecommunications, and life sciences and biotechnology.
