Friday, May 27, 2016

NEW YORK, May 27, 2016: Clients recommend more than 200 Morgan Lewis lawyers and single out the firm as a leader in 85 practice categories in the Chambers USA guide released today by distinguished legal directory publisher Chambers & Partners.

The 2016 publication recognizes 212 of the firm’s exceptional legal professionals, ranking 10 Morgan Lewis lawyers for the first time and recommending the firm across 82 competitive practice categories, including five new practice rankings. The annual guide ranks the country’s premier firms and practitioners in one of six levels, or “Bands,” with Band 1 representing the highest designation. This year, Morgan Lewis secured 15 Band 1 practice category designations, with 44 Band 1 rankings assigned to its leading lawyers.

Chambers & Partners rankings assess technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, and commitment and are based on extensive feedback gathered from thousands of lawyers and their clients around the world in addition to extensive independent research.

The publisher also named Morgan Lewis the Employment Law Firm of the Year last night during the Chambers USA Awards for Excellence dinner in New York, which honored the year’s most prominent law firms. The firm also was a finalist for an Award for Excellence in two other categories: Energy/Projects: Power (Including Renewables); Financial Services & Securities Regulation.
