LONDON, December 9, 2016: Morgan Lewis and A&L Goodbody represented Sumitomo Corporation, a leading global trading company, in its agreement announced today for a unanimously recommended cash offer by Sumitomo pursuant to which a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo will acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Fyffes plc, a leading international marketer and distributor of top quality, healthy produce.
The Morgan Lewis team advising Sumitomo on the transaction was led by partners Bradley Edmister, Alan Neuwirth, Bruce Johnston, Humberto Gonzalez Padilla and Harry Robins.
