SILICON VALLEY, March 14, 2017: Morgan Lewis employee benefits and executive compensation partner Zaitun Poonja has been selected by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of its Women of Influence for 2017. This annual report recognizes a select group of women in Silicon Valley who demonstrate leadership in their industries as well as their communities. This is the third consecutive year that lawyers from Morgan Lewis’s Silicon Valley office have been named to this distinguished list.
A member of Morgan Lewis’s cross-practice global workforce team, Ms. Poonja counsels in all areas of executive compensation for start-ups, emerging growth companies, and public companies. She advises large multinational corporations, and publicly and privately held companies in numerous global industries—including technology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences—on implementation of equity compensation programs in US and foreign jurisdictions. Ms. Poonja has been recognized by corporate counsel and her peers in the industry guides compiled by distinguished legal directory publishers Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. In 2016, Best Lawyers named her a “Lawyer of the Year” for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law and listed her in its “Women Lawyers of the Year” special edition.
Ms. Poonja will be honored at Silicon Valley Business Journal's annual Women of Influence awards dinner on May 18 in San Jose, California.
