CHICAGO, MAY 25, 2017: Morgan Lewis has received an Award for Excellence in Public Interest Service from the United States District Court, in conjunction with the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

The recognition, which is typically awarded to individual lawyers, was given to the firm as a result of its pro bono efforts on behalf of the Northern District of Illinois’ Settlement Assistance Program for Pro Se Litigants. For the past three years, several lawyers in the Morgan Lewis Chicago office have donated their time to assisting pro se plaintiffs in potential settlements of litigation.

Morgan Lewis associate Tedd Warden and partner Tom Hurka led the charge on behalf of the firm. Volunteers included partners Greg Fouts, Sanjay Murthy, Tinos Diamantatos, Elizabeth Herrington, Romeo Quinto, Jason White, Undray Wilks, Ross Friedman; and associates Ning He, Erin McAdams, Kevin Gaffney, Sarah Riddell, Ashley Powers, and Nick Restauri.

The award was presented to the firm by US Chief District Judge Rubén Castillo at the Eighteenth Annual Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Interest Service Award Ceremony on May 24.
