MIAMI, September 4, 2018: Morgan Lewis consultant Salvador Juncadella will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) next month, a recognition reserved for members of the in-house community who have made extensive and notable contributions to the practice of Latin American law over the course of their careers.

Mr. Juncadella consults on business and finance matters relating to the laws, customs, and lawyers of more than 25 countries—spanning from Mexico to Argentina, and including the Caribbean nations. He has more than 25 years’ experience as corporate counsel for Exxon Corporation’s affiliates in Latin America and served as general counsel of Esso InterAmerica, Inc., a Florida-based regional office of Exxon Corporation petroleum interests in the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Mr. Juncadella founded the Juncadella Corporate Counsel Group (JCCG) in 1992 as an informal networking group for in-house counsel based in South Florida or whose practices focus primarily on operations in Latin America and the Caribbean. The organization’s quarterly luncheons and seminars are held in cooperation with Morgan Lewis and the University of Miami School of Law.

Mr. Juncadella’s service in the Miami community includes appointments as vice president and member of the executive committee of the Argentine-Florida Chamber of Commerce, and election to the board of directors of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Center of the Americas, where he also served as vice-chair and member of the executive committee. A former president of the Inter-American Bar Association, Mr. Juncadella has been recognized for his legal work by professional groups in the United States and abroad.

The lifetime achievement award will be presented to Mr. Juncadella at LACCA’s annual award ceremony on September 26. He retires from the firm on September 30.
