A transaction where Morgan Lewis advised Silversea Cruises has been named Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year (Over $1B) by The M&A Advisor as part of its 11th annual International M&A Awards. The series recognizes the leading international transactions, restructurings, financings, products and services, firms, and individuals in the M&A space.
Morgan Lewis was recognized for its work on behalf of Silversea Cruises and its owner in the sale of 66.67% of the business to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. for approximately $1 billion, plus additional share-based payments based on future performance. Corporate partners Carl A. Valenstein and Tom Cartwright led the representation.
