Morgan Lewis partner John McGuire was interview by The Wall Street Journal for an article about the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) decision to approve a rule that would streamline the process for most exchange-traded fund (ETF) offerings. “People are going to try, as they come up with new ideas, to fit them within this rule,” said John. “I think the intent from the SEC was to allow some continuing innovation under this rule as long as it meets these minimum requirements.”
