Morgan Lewis Partner Ayesha Waheed Appointed to London Mayor’s Infrastructure Advisory Panel

LONDON, January 13, 2020: Morgan Lewis partner Ayesha Waheed has been appointed as a member of the new Infrastructure Advisory Panel launched by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to improve the planning and delivery of infrastructure across London.

The panel comprises 43 individuals from the infrastructure and development field who will advise the mayor on a range of issues. As a panel member, Ayesha will weigh in on the planning, delivery, and financing of London’s infrastructure development.

Sadiq Khan established the panel to boost diversity in London’s infrastructure sector. The panel’s membership is 30 per cent BAME (black, Asian, and minority ethnic) and 70 per cent women.

Ayesha practices principally in the infrastructure, project finance, and natural resources sectors. She represents developers and lenders in infrastructure, oil and gas, and power generation projects, and has experience in all aspects of structuring, negotiating, and drafting finance and commercial documents in connection with international project financings and privatisations.
