Justices Talk Monopolies, Generic Marks in Booking.com Case, Bloomberg Law

Morgan Lewis partner Carla Oakley spoke with Bloomberg Law about a recent US Supreme Court case regarding  the use of generic terms in domain names. In the article, Carla discussed the likely reluctance of the court to create a “bright-line” rule from this case. “It’s a challenging issue because of the competing interests,” and the “unique issues” that come with a domain name being used as a trademark,  she said.
