WASHINGTON, DC, May 12, 2020: Morgan Lewis partner Chai Feldblum, co-director of Workplace Culture Consulting, has been named among The National Law Journal’s class of 2020 Employment Law Trailblazers. The annual series recognizes lawyers who have achieved remarkable successes in employment law.
The publication detailed Chai’s long and diverse career, from clerking for US Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun during the height of the AIDS epidemic, to helping to draft and negotiate the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and subsequent amendments, to her time as a commissioner on the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where she co-led the Select Task Force on the Study of Harassment in the Workplace.
Chai, who formally launched Morgan Lewis’s Workplace Culture Consulting group along with partner Sharon Masling in 2019, focuses her practice on helping employers implement preventive strategies to eliminate harassment and enhance workplace productivity. Her policymaking background and insights on the EEOC’s enforcement processes inform her counseling of employers on compliance with employment anti-discrimination laws, her investigations of complaints of harassment and discrimination, and her counseling related to returning to work amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
