DOJ Urges Data Access In Compliance Manual Tweaks, Law360

Morgan Lewis partner Kenneth Polite was interviewed for a Law360 article about the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) updated guidance regarding corporate compliance programs. He discussed the DOJ’s remarks on data and hotlines. “It’s not enough to just have a hotline that is essentially collecting dust,” Kenneth said in the article. “If you are identifying that there is limited access to certain data and you aren’t doing anything to address the limitation, that’s a red flag that your compliance program isn’t particularly effective.”
