BOSTON, May 18, 2021: Morgan Lewis lawyers Daniel Ball and MyShawndria Ward have been reelected to the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association’s board of directors for its 2021–22 year.
Daniel joined the board of directors in 2019 and has served as the bar association’s co-chair since August 2020. He is a litigation associate counseling clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, representing clients in litigation, arbitration, and governmental investigations involving securities, antitrust, intellectual property, and consumer protection claims before both state and federal courts throughout the United States, and before both domestic and international regulatory agencies and commercial arbitration panels. Daniel maintains an active pro bono practice. He regularly represents individuals and families in eviction proceedings, assists environmental nonprofits, and volunteers his time working with citizenship clinics. Daniel also participates in the Boston office hiring committee and serves as an associate representative for the Boston office’s Local Committee on Associates.
MyShawndria joined the bar association's board of directors in 2020. MyShawndria is a finance associate representing a variety of financial institutions in finance transactions. Her practice includes syndicated debt financings and asset-based lending. MyShawndria has an active pro bono practice that includes work for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and Lawyers Clearinghouse. MyShawndria serves as the firm’s LGBTQ+ Lawyer Network associate representative and also routinely assists in office hiring.
