Legal Tech’s Predictions for Privacy in 2022, Legaltech News

Partner Pulina Whitaker spoke to Legaltech News about her outlook for privacy law in the upcoming year. “2022 could potentially see the UK diverging from Europe’s privacy regime in a few respects, particularly around simplifying the need and process for express consent to use certain tracking technologies, including cookies,” said Pulina. She continues, “Also in relation to data transfer agreements and safeguards, we do not anticipate that the UK will lower the standard of privacy protections for consumers, but it is likely to continue its pragmatic approach to privacy requirements.”
