Anti-ESG Might Just Be Getting Started, ESG Clarity
January 25, 2023Partner Lance Dial spoke with ESG Clarity about expected and enacted state legislation around environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Lance noted that some pre-filed legislation for 2023 state bills would prohibit discrimination against companies based on their ESG scores from third parties.
“This is not going away. I don’t think it’s going to end with a whimper,” Lance said. “We’ll see more of these (laws) up to a point where it creates a federal issue.”
