WASHINGTON, DC, May 31, 2024: Partner Giovanna Cinelli, leader of the firm’s international trade and national security practice, testified on May 23 before the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission during the hearing “Key Economic Strategies for Leveling the US-China Playing Field: Trade, Investment, and Technology.”
Giovanna, a former US naval special duty intelligence officer, testified in her personal capacity as a legal practitioner of more than 30 years. She counsels clients across industries, including the defense, finance, software, research and development, and high-technology sectors. Giovanna advises on a broad range of issues affecting national security and export controls, including CFIUS, cross-border due diligence, complex export compliance matters, and export enforcement, both classified and unclassified.
