4 Questions About DOL's Self-Audit Plan For Wage Violations, Law360

The US Department of Labor recently announced a self-audit program that allows companies to limit litigation by voluntarily reporting Fair Labor Standards Act violations and allows employers to quickly pay back wages to workers in full for accidental overtime and minimum wage violations. Of Counsel Russell Bruch said in the article it is not yet clear if the program would pre-empt a private lawsuit if one is filed before a reported violation is resolved.
