PHILADELPHIA, May 4, 2016: The Bridge Way School, a private high school in Manayunk, Pennsylvania specifically for students recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, today presented Morgan Lewis with the first annual Community Partner Award, in recognition of pro bono legal services the firm has provided to the school.
A team of Morgan Lewis lawyers has assisted Bridge Way students in obtaining tuition reimbursement for parents and students from public school districts to enable those students to attend Bridge Way, as well as providing general legal advice to the school.
Managing Partner Steve Wall, associate Eleanor Farrell, and former associate Adam Roseman accepted the award on behalf of Morgan Lewis at the school’s inaugural “Bridge Way Community Partnership Award” breakfast on May 4 at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia.
Mr. Wall is vice chair of the board of trustees of the nonprofit Caron Treatment Centers, an industry leader in drug and alcohol residential and outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents, and is a member of Bridge Way’s advisory board. Ms. Farrell has worked with Bridge Way for more than three years, assisting in tuition reimbursement efforts and providing other legal services to the school.
The Bridge Way School is the first and only recovery high school in Pennsylvania. It is dedicated to providing a quality education for students in the grades 9-12 grades who recovering from addictions. The school requires and supports sobriety utilizing 12-step programs.
Proceeds from today’s benefit breakfast will be used to support scholarship assistance for students attending Bridge Way.
