SILICON VALLEY, January 30, 2018: Morgan Lewis partner Mark L. Krotoski has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2018 Top Cyber/Artificial Intelligence Lawyers list, which recognizes the top 20 lawyers in California who are at “the cutting-edge of cybersecurity law.”
Mr. Krotoski represents and advises clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters; antitrust cartel investigations; trade secret, economic espionage, fraud, and foreign corrupt practices cases; and government investigations. He has experience handling cyber investigations and cases in both the public and private sectors. In addition, he helps clients navigate the complex regulatory environments that impact privacy and cybersecurity laws across multiple jurisdictions, and coordinates with law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Krotoski previously served as the national coordinator for the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property (CHIP) Program in the Criminal Division of the US Department of Justice, which involved approximately 250 federal prosecutors specially trained to prosecute cybercrime and intellectual property enforcement cases; the chief and deputy chief of the Criminal Division in the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California; and a CHIP prosecutor handling computer crimes and intellectual property issues in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. He successfully prosecuted and investigated virtually every type of computer intrusion, cybercrime, and criminal intellectual property violation.
Mr. Krotoski has been previously recognized for his cybersecurity practice, including in 2016 as a Cybersecurity Trailblazer by The National Law Journal and by the Cybersecurity Docket’s Incident Response 30 list of the best and brightest data breach response lawyers.
