WASHINGTON, DC, JUNE 23, 2015: Morgan Lewis partner and leader of the firm’s global immigration practice Eleanor Pelta was awarded the 2015 Susan D. Quarles AILA Service Excellence Award on June 20, 2015 by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She received this honor in recognition of her outstanding service, over a period of years, in advancing the mission, development, and values of AILA for its members and the public it serves.

“No matter the task, she is ready, willing, and able to help on whatever committee, role, or responsibility required,” AILA said in a statement announcing the honor, which also highlighted the numerous leadership and mentoring roles she has held at AILA.

AILA is a national association of immigration lawyers established to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.

In 2014, Eleanor received the Edith Lowenstein Award for Excellence in Advancing the Practice of Immigration Law, one of AILA’s highest annual honors, and she previously received the Joe Minsky Young Lawyer Award in 1996.
