Morgan Lewis to Host International Business Forum with British American Business Council of New England

BOSTON, February 21, 2017: Morgan Lewis and the British American Business Council of New England (BABCNE) in conjunction with the Global Business Alliance of New England (GBANE) are hosting an International Business Forum and Networking event Tuesday evening, February 28.

The session, “The Impact of Moving Goods, People and Capital in the Global Economy,” will feature guest speakers and a number of panelists discussing global trade. Corporate Business Transactions Partner Carl Valenstein will discuss legal and contractual issues, and Litigation Partner and BABCNE Director and Officer, Peter Pound, will give opening remarks.

Upwards of 200 executives from New England companies involved in international business are expected to attend the event, which will also feature exhibits presented by multiple trade associations and government agencies.

Guest speakers include Michael Goodman, Professor of Public Policy, Executive Director of the Public Policy Center, and Acting Chair of the Department of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth; Paula Murphy, Director of the Massachusetts Export Center; and Nam Pham, Assistant Secretary, Business Development and International Trade for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Participating panelists include Laurice Bancroft, Vice President and General Manager for DHL; Matthew Bock, partner at Middleton & Shrull, LLC; Scott Fitzgerald, Managing Partner of the Boston office of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy LLP; Fernando Morales, Director of the International Desk for Santander Bank; Annabel Realf, a Director in PwC’s Transfer Pricing Tax Practice; and Kenneth Vacovec, Founding Partner of Vacovec, Mayotte & Singer LLP.
