WASHINGTON, DC, April 16, 2018: Former Morgan Lewis Labor and Employment partner John Ring was sworn in today as Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board.

Prior to his appointment to the NLRB, Mr. Ring spent his entire legal career at Morgan Lewis, representing client interests in all facets of labor law, including collective bargaining, multi-employer benefit plans, and counseling on labor-management relations issues. At the firm, Mr. Ring had an extensive background negotiating and administering collective-bargaining agreements, most notably in the context of workforce restructuring and multi-employer bargaining.

“We are proud of the firm’s long history of partners being chosen to serve on the NLRB, including Phil Miscimarra, whom we recently welcomed back to Morgan Lewis after having served as the five-member panel’s chairman, as well as partner Harry Johnson and senior counsel Charles Cohen,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “We know that John also will serve with distinction.”
