PHILADELPHIA, April 28, 2016: Morgan Lewis partner Howard Meyers has been named a recipient of The Legal Intelligencer’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The Philadelphia-based publication’s awards recognize 25 individuals who have influenced the law in Pennsylvania and who have had a distinct impact on the state’s legal profession.
During a career spanning more than 40 years, Mr. Meyers has earned a reputation as an astute corporate lawyer, representing clients in corporate finance, including traditional debt and equity securities; securities law compliance for public companies; mergers and acquisitions of public and privately held companies, including leveraged buyouts; bank financings; partnership law; and emerging businesses and venture capital.
Mr. Meyers also has mentored hundreds of lawyers and he has generously given his time and wisdom to the betterment of the city of Philadelphia and its business community. In addition to serving as a leader of business organizations such as the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, he is a former chair of the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and a member of the executive committee of the board of directors of The William Penn Foundation.
All of the Lifetime Achievement Award winners will be honored at a celebration dinner on June 21.
