Morgan Lewis partner and former Assistant US Attorney Tinos Diamantatos comments on a civil lawsuit brought against former US House Speaker Dennis Hastert by “Individual A,” a man who accused Hastert of alleged sexual misconduct during his tenure as a children’s wrestling coach and to whom Hastert had initially agreed to pay $3.5 million in hush money to cover up the alleged sexual abuse.
The lawsuit comes just two days before the scheduled sentencing hearing in a larger case brought against Hastert by federal prosecutors.
