Is DOJ Focus on Chinese Espionage Racial Profiling?, Law.com

Based on his experience at the DOJ, Mark Krotoski was asked about his views concerning foreign economic espionage. 

Krotoski pointed to the case of Kexue Huang, who was sentenced to 87 months after pleading guilty in 2011 to stealing trade secrets from his former employers: Dow AgroSciences and Cargill Inc. Huang, a naturalized Canadian citizen who was born in China, transferred secrets to both China and Germany for further research. The U.S. government was able to recover trade secrets in Germany through a mutual legal assistance treaty, Krotoski said, but he added, "Those tools weren’t available in China."
