A recent Raconteur article cited research by Morgan, Lewis & Bockius about the Islamic finance industry, which is expected to grow to $3.4 trillion by the end of 2018 and $6.7 trillion by the end of 2020.
Partner Victoria Mesquita Wlazlo said in the article, “There’s no structured career path and no given formula to get into Islamic finance. It’s still a bit niche and teams are relatively small, so it may prove a bit more challenging than getting a job with a standard litigation team, but there are opportunities if you’re prepared to become an expert in your field.”
