SILICON VALLEY, March 6, 2017: Morgan Lewis represented Envision Energy in the $85 million Series D financing of the sonnen Group. Envision Energy, based in Shanghai, is the second largest wind-turbine manufacturer in the world, and the sonnen Group is Europe’s largest maker of rechargeable energy storage units and the world’s largest energy storage company.
The firm has served as counsel to Envision Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Envision Energy, since 2015. This financing is one of the most significant venture financing transactions in Europe this year and will support sonnen’s expansion into global markets.
