SAN FRANCISCO, January 21, 2015 – Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Brian C. Rocca as co-managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office effective immediately as the firm – now one of the largest in the world – begins a significant new chapter in 2015. Mr. Rocca joins partner Molly Moriarty Lane in the role.
Mr. Rocca focuses his practice on antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters. He is recognized by Chambers USA (2013 and 2014) and is noted for “quickly gaining a reputation as one to watch in the coming years across the antitrust and complex commercial litigation space.” Clients have been “very impressed” by his “great judgment” and willingness to “roll up his sleeves and really dive in deep to understand the case,” as well as his strategic mindset. Mr. Rocca has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine from 2009 through 2014 as a “Rising Star” in the antitrust area. In the antitrust field, he has worked on high-stakes litigation in both civil and criminal contexts, and in a wide range of industries. Mr. Rocca joined the firm from Bingham McCutchen, where he served as co-managing partner of the San Francisco office. He earned his J.D. at University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. at UC Davis.
Ms. Lane, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice, focuses on complex litigation in California state and federal courts across a range of industries, including the retail, technology, healthcare, and financial services sectors. She represents clients through the entire litigation life cycle, from pre-litigation counseling to trials and appeals. In 2014, Ms. Lane was named one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business by the San Francisco Business Times. She earned her J.D. at the University of San Francisco School of Law and her B.A. from UCLA.
