Morgan Lewis Appoints New Managing Partner in Hartford Office

HARTFORD, January 20, 2015 – Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Jeffrey S. MacDonald as managing partner of the firm’s Hartford office effective immediately as the firm – now one of the largest in the world – begins a significant new chapter in 2015.

Mr. MacDonald is a corporate transactions partner with Morgan Lewis, handling mergers and acquisitions, private equity and debt financings, and general corporate and governance matters. With a focus on insurance and financial services industry transactions, he has experience structuring and negotiating private equity–sponsored leveraged buyouts, strategic acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, equity and debt portfolio investments and recapitalizations, as well as managing the formation, financing and licensing of new market entrants. Mr. MacDonald earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Dickinson College.
