SILICON VALLEY, January 20, 2015 – Morgan Lewis is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Melinda S. Riechert as managing partner of the firm’s Silicon Valley office effective immediately as the firm – now one of the largest in the world – begins a significant new chapter in 2015.
Ms. Riechert is a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice and leader of the practice in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. Ms. Riechert specializes in litigation and arbitration of employment disputes for a number of major high-technology and other companies, including defending companies in wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination, and sexual harassment disputes. She also counsels employers on how to avoid litigation. From 2007 through 2014, Ms. Riechert has been named one of the leading U.S. lawyers for employment law by Chambers USA, based on the views of clients, peers, and other industry professionals. She was named one of California's “Top Labor and Employment Lawyers” in 2010, 2012, and 2014 and one of its “Top Women Litigators” by The Daily Journal in 2010 and 2012. She was also named one of the San Francisco Business Times’ “Top 10 Rainmakers.” She earned her J.D. at Stanford Law School and her LL.B. at University College, London University, First In Class.
