LOS ANGELES, February 18, 2016: Morgan Lewis has further strengthened its leading energy and project finance team with the arrival of Neeraj Arora, a lawyer who advises sponsors and financial institutions in a broad array of project development and finance transactions. Mr. Arora, who joins Morgan Lewis as of counsel in Los Angeles, was previously a member of another prominent law firm.

Mr. Arora has been involved with the project financing of a broad range of large energy infrastructure assets, including conventional and renewable (solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal) power generation projects, transmission lines, and pipelines. He offers experience in negotiating project development documentation, including in connection with project real estate, the acquisition and disposition of projects, off-take agreements and the operation and management of projects. Mr. Arora has also negotiated power purchase agreements on both the utility and developer side for a number of significant projects with an aggregate value in excess of US $3 billion.

“Neeraj is a leading practitioner in this field who is well known to our clients and in the energy space generally,” said David Asmus, chair of the Morgan Lewis Energy Transactions practice. “He will strengthen an already market-leading practice in conventional and renewable power project development and finance.”
