NEW YORK, July 17, 2015: For the second time in the contest’s three-year history, Morgan Lewis has been recognized by the American Lawyer’s prestigious Global Legal Awards with wins in both the Finance Deal of the Year: Project Finance and M&A Deal of the Year: Europe categories.
The competitive contest aims to honor law firms and in-house legal departments that played leading roles in the most notable international work performed over the last 16 months. Morgan Lewis was named an honoree in the Finance Deal of the Year: Project Finance category for its work in a massive energy deal coordinated across several of the global firm’s practices and offices. The firm was also singled out in the contest’s Global M&A Deal of the Year: Europe category for its representation of an international building materials group on global merger control/antitrust issues and filings in relation to a large-scale acquisition of a portfolio of assets from a competitor.
The annual competition attracted 225 entries across 30 categories. Winners and honorees will be recognized at a ceremony in New York on September 28, 2015.
