HARTFORD, Conn., September 9, 2015: Morgan Lewis has enhanced its market-leading practice for insurance company private placement workouts with the addition of Renée Dailey, who joins the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring team as a partner resident in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition to insurance companies, Ms. Dailey represents other institutional investors both within the United States and internationally.
“The addition of Renée to our bankruptcy and restructuring group highlights our commitment to the top-tier insurance company restructuring team we have built at Morgan Lewis,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “She has significant domestic and international experience that is critical to clients in the current global financial environment.”
Ms. Dailey, who joins Morgan Lewis from another global law firm, advises institutional investors on their investment activities. She works with insurance company private placement noteholder groups, public bondholder groups and bank lenders on investment structures, forbearances and amendments, and out-of-court and in-court restructurings. She has represented investors extensively in international investments, including in Australia.
“Renée will be a terrific complement to the other lawyers in our group, many of whom she has worked with in the past,” said Jonathan Bernstein, who leads the firm’s finance practice. “Her skills and experience will be a great asset to our clients in and beyond Hartford, and strengthen the preeminent position of our restructuring team.”
“I am very pleased to welcome Renée to the firm,” said Jeffrey MacDonald, the Hartford office managing partner. “She will be ideally positioned to assist our many insurance and finance industry clients, and we look forward to working with her.”
