NEW YORK, February 10, 2017: Morgan Lewis has been recognized by India Business Law Journal for its role as counsel to JPMorgan Chase in the formation of Amblin Partners. The joint venture, also known as Storyteller Financial Services Co. LLC, was formed with major media and entertainment companies, including Entertainment One Ltd., Participant Media, and Mumbai-based Reliance Group. JPMorgan Chase served as administrative agent.
The Vantage Asia publication highlighted the new venture in its Deals of the Year 2016 report. The report is a compilation of 50 precedent-setting deals and disputes that were substantial in size or presented especially complex or novel legal challenges that required sophisticated counsel.
The Morgan Lewis team advising JPMorgan Chase was led by partner Michael Chapnick with support from partner Matthew Furlong.
