Morgan Lewis Hosts 11th Annual Hedge Fund Conference in New York, 4th Annual in Boston

NEW YORK and BOSTON, June 6, 2018: Morgan Lewis is holding its Advanced Topics in Hedge Fund Practices Conferences: Manager and Investor Perspectives in New York on June 12 at the Plaza Hotel and in Boston on June 14 at Morgan Lewis’s office.

In New York, the 11th annual program will offer in-depth presentations by 45 Morgan Lewis lawyers on several of the most watched topics affecting the hedge fund industry, including US Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement trends; recent regulatory and examination priorities; current institutional investor terms; emerging hedge fund topics; trading practices and investment positions; direct lending, M&A, tax reform and ERISA updates; the international funds landscape; derivatives, cybersecurity, insider trading, immigration and hiring issues; cryptocurrency and ICOs; and #MeToo and crisis management matters. Morgan Lewis partners Jedd Wider and Tim Levin will chair the day-long event.

The keynote presentations will be exciting market overviews on investment trends in both the sports and real estate industries, led by Chairman and Founder of Related Companies Stephen Ross and Morgan Lewis Global Sports Initiative Co-Chair Jeff Moorad. Mr. Ross also is the owner of the Miami Dolphins and chairman and co-founder of RSE Ventures, which launched the International Champions Cup, a global pre-season soccer tournament. Mr. Moorad is chairman and CEO of Moorad Sports Partners; founder and chairman of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law, Villanova University; and former general partner/CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres.

In Boston, our 4th annual program offers a half-day version of the same agenda featuring 25 Morgan Lewis presenters, as well as a tax reform update from tax partners Andy Plourde from KPMG and Liam Shannon from Ernst & Young.
